6. Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a treatment approach in which functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system are examined and treated.
Manual therapy is based on special hand movements and mobilization techniques, which alleviate pain and eliminate movement disorders.
Physiotherapists examine the joint mechanics, muscle
function and coordination of movements before an individual treatment plan is drawn up.
Manual therapy uses both passive techniques and active exercises.
On the one hand, blocked or restricted joints are mobilised by trained physiotherapists using gentle techniques, on the other hand unstable joints can be stabilised by individual exercises.
Objective of the treatment concept: Restoration of the
interaction between joints, muscles and nerves.
Manual therapy may only be carried out by specially trained physiotherapists.
